A colleague of mine recently observed that the swift emergence of Artificial Intelligence tools is akin to another monumental shift in human history – the advent of fire. Managed carefully and applied thoughtfully, it has the power to take us to new heights. Mishandled, it has the destructive power to burn the house down.
I’ve been witnessing our teams at Craft seamlessly using AI tools like DragonflyAI, Runway and OpenAI to bring bold creative ideas to life in new and exciting ways across all of our clients – large and small.
With each test and every prompt, I’m reminded again and again of the enormous impact these tools can have on our ability to create and execute with greater speed and accuracy than ever before.

So far, it seems like the main limitation to AI becoming a force for good is currently down to the newness of the tools themselves and our familiarity with how to harness the power they provide.
Sure, we can easily be distracted by the notion of AI ultimately replacing humans, or the ethical debates associated with generative source materials, and even the lack of governance around applied theories.
As leaders, it’s imperative that we establish ethical guidelines and regulatory frameworks to ensure responsible AI use, as well as ensure a smooth transition to an AI-powered workforce. We certainly don’t want our new fire burning out of control.

But let’s not lose sight of the big opportunity here – automate tasks that used to take days and deliver them in only minutes, harness data to generate insights at a speed unimaginable only a few years ago, target audiences and deliver messages that will be proven to resonate as well as the opportunity to couple that precision-targeting with the ability to generate new creative assets almost instantly.

AI has empowered our creatives to push their craft to new heights. Whether it's composing music, designing visuals, or writing scripts, AI is now seen as a first draft, a stepping-stone that sparks inspiration and enables makers to explore uncharted territories and apply their skills to creative wonderfully compelling work.
The AI fire is burning hot and if you don’t know how to handle it, you will be burned. But if you approach it with calculated optimism and the right tools, the AI flame will light the way to a much brighter future for all of us.

“The AI fire is burning hot and if you don’t know how to handle it, you will be burned”.
